netballers

& THE NETBALLERS MADE IT! yesterday marks the last day of school before the start of march holidays. although it only lasts a week, i have no idea why teachers are giving their students holiday homework. havent we had enough of the previous term's assignments and tests which comes one after another? and the lit assignment is so frustrating.. i don't want to act (!!!) anyway, yesterday's cheering competition was splendid. i have to admit, last year's 2/7 08' is much more hyper and enthusiastic. despite not having a nice cheer we still did put on quite a show though we didnt make it.. this year it wasn't as fun as i thought. the boys in my class simply refused to cooperate. i've found friends of different characters, those of which i had to analyse carefully. we had loners and cliques and people who just wants others to see it their way. i didnt know it was this hard to make friends you know, just to fit in. im trying to blend in with them, still. i WANT to make friends. i think cross country would be the highlight of the day. despite reminding my mum not to cook spicy food, she ended up cooking nasi sambal goreng. i suggested some spinach or something but she wasnt at home at that time. once i reached home, i changed to PE t-shirt and ate.. i was so kancheong that i told my younger sister to do our warm ups at home first because i knew we wont be able to do a proper one at the park, plus when its raining!?! (it reminds me of last year) i emerged the 16th among the sec 3 girls and hazirah came in third among the sec 1s. before hand i already told her that sec ones will be the easiest to beat and hence, she must try to get that medal for herself this year. i didnt know she took it seriously though. it was a relieve because ms wong expects all netballers 2 be in top 20, and i dont want her to be the spoil spot. LOL! i'd like to extend my gratitude to my fellow seniors who cheered for the netballers at the finishing line. we all have frights and butterflies in our stomach at the beginning, thinking that the fencers who have been training for the run would come in and fill the top 20 spots. but our victory have proven them wrong. once again, almost all netballers got in. majority, i'd say. from sec 1 to sec 5s, we made it. indeed, this year is a memorable year . ms koh snapped our pictures with the medals we got. im really happy. *all smiles* however, 3/9 managed to clinch the overall champion for sec 3 as they had 10 people (both boys and girls) who got in to top 20 while 3/8 only had 8. yushan suggested maybe we should have the best CCA award or something, and it will be more interesting when CCA groups compete. especially when there might be a showdown between the netballers and fencers.. MAN! thats so nice! i think i've written too much. and maybe you'll be falling asleep soon. so, toodles! `AiN |
